Memory Poem from ELA Class

I remember the day
When I loved to play
With cheap dolls from deli bids
Annoying calls from smelly kids

I remember the day
When I had to pray
For kids on their own way
Who start to fade in the gray

I remember the day
When I had no choice but to say okay
I had to stay
There was no “YAY!”

I remember the day
When I played with clay
I used to spray paint
Until they decay

I remember the day
The wore a lei
And pranced around and played
Until the time decayed

I remember the day
When I was young
I used to be grunge

I remember the day
I didn’t know who I was
Today I still don’t
So I say hey
To the new meh
